Mutton Chops - $12/lb (1 lb) Shoulder Roast $10/lb (3-5 lbs) Leg Roast - $12/lb (3-5 lbs) Rack - $12/lb (3-4 lbs) Rib Plate, Saddle - $8/lb Neck Roast - $9/lb Ground Mutton - $10/lb (1 lb) Stew Meat - $10/lb (1 lb) Shanks - $7/lb Liver, Heart or Tongue - $5/lb Bones - $4/lb Kidneys, Fat- $2/lb Mutton is meat from sheep that is older than 1-2 years whereas lamb is from young animals. Mutton generally has a stronger flavor and is a bit less tender than lamb but is more economical. One of the best ways to use mutton is by cooking it more slowly than lamb in dishes with more spices and flavor. Because of this, we generally have more roasts available to sell than chops. Also, we think our mutton is delicious and fairly mild. Enjoy! |
